Collaboration - commission

its been decided that the zine is not really related to will's practice in terms of the context of it being a zine so the collaboration has become me commissioning him for illustrations.

essentially the same thing tho. just means i can claim i drew them. I'm kidding of course.

no royalties tho.

Collaboration?

I've been wanting to do some collaborative work with an illustrator for a while now. Its strange thinking that i lived with will for 2 years and never really did any graphics together. Since we are both music fanatics and enjoy the odd zine and comic, it was decided that we should produce a music/comic/magazine in the vein of viz. because we can.

seriously tho, through the combination of skills we have learned on the image/typography module, we hope to create something lo-fi yet not scruffy as a zine may tend to appear.

we are in the process of writing the brief.

Promo-Pack?

This is more of a collection of work to be honest. Although being pretty cool and nicely held together, it would be extremely expensive to put together for multiple promopacks.

Needs something a little more portfolio-ish. More images of work than the work itself.

Initial Business Card

the end of the first month of third year...

...and i've only just started blogging. ah well.

its been very full on. i've suddenly been finding myself panicking like there's a deadline and i havent done any work or something. i'm trying really hard to organise and sort myself out this year.

seems a bit ridiculous to be panicking tho.

so yes, the plan is to force the organisation until it becomes permanent second nature and just keep working every day. i feel like this is the year i really can do what i want to do in terms of work. however, the "need to do" (cheers fred) is a serious issue. i want there to be running themes of eco-friendly positive briefs to satisfy this but may also look into social issues such as anti-knife crime campaigns and so on.

Just babbling now. Thats just how i plan to keep the blogs going as well because i havent been very thorough with them over the last 2 years. i really need to try to up my game this year!
